In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), GATRA provides "paratransit service."

Paratransit service means that GATRA will provide Dial-A-Ride service to anyone traveling in an area served by public buses who is unable to use GATRA public fixed-route bus transportation due to a disability.

The area defined by ADA is anywhere within a 3/4 mile radius from the GATRA fixed-route bus service corridor.

An application form must be filled out in order to determine when and under what circumstances the applicant can use fixed-route public buses and when Dial-A-Ride services are required.

All information will be kept confidential. Only our essential personnel will be provided with the information necessary to provide the transportation which you require. Your application will not be shared with any other person or company.

Statewide Access/Senior Citizen Pass

Statewide Access Passes are issued by GATRA to eligible individuals with a permanent or temporary disability or seniors 60 years of age or older. This photo ID entitles the bearer to reduced fares on all fixed-route bus transportation systems throughout Massachusetts, as well as the MBTA Commuter Rail. These discounted passes do not include Dial-A-Ride service which is already discounted.For an application for the Access Pass or the Senior Citizen Pass, call
