What is Dial-A-Ride?
- "The Americans with Diabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) requires that comparable paratransit service (Dial-A-Ride) be available to persons who, because of a disability, are unable to use accessible, public fixed-route service."
- Dial-A-Ride is curb to curb transportation for passengers who meet ADA requirements and/or are age sixty and above.
Who is Eligible?
- A person with a disability that limits one major life function who cannot, because of a disability, use public transportation.
- A person with a disability who, because of certain conditions, is not able to use public fixed-route transportation.
- A person 60 years of age or older.
Here's How It Works...
It's as easy as 1-2-3!
- Have your trip information ready before calling. This should include exact address and requested travel times.
- Reservations are taken Monday-Friday from 8:30a.m. until 4:30 p.m. If you are a non ADA person with a disability under 60 years of age or a non ADA senior we ask that you call before noon the day before your appointment. ADA eligible persons please see our brochure or call for information. Reservations and cancellations can be taken on Saturday and Sunday by the answering service for the following Monday.

Dial-A-Ride Guidelines
- All return trips are required to be scheduled except for doctor's appointments.
- Your ride may arrive between 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time. If you are not ready when your vehicle arrives, the driver will wait no more than 5 minutes. This is considered a "no show" and a van will not be sent back for the same trip.
- If you decide to cancel or reschedule your trip, you must notify Dial-A-Ride one hour before your scheduled pick-up time. If you fail to cancel a requested trip, this will be considered a "no show."
- If you need assistance to and from the vehicle, you may bring an aide. An aide must be acting as a personal care assistant (PCA) and not merely a companion to ride for free, and must have the same origin and destination as the scheduled passenger. You may bring one companion for the Dial-a-Ride fare.
