Dial-A-Ride Guidelines

Guidelines may vary by town, but in most cases:

  • All return trips are required to be scheduled except for doctor’s appointments.
  • Your ride may arrive between 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time. If you are not ready when your vehicle arrives, the driver will wait no more than 5 minutes. This is considered a “no show” and a van will not be sent back for the same trip.
  • If you decide to cancel or reschedule your trip, you must notify Dial-A-Ride one hour before your scheduled pick-up time. If you fail to cancel a requested trip, this will be considered a “no show.”
  • If you need assistance to and from the vehicle, you may bring an aide. An aide must be acting as a personal care assistant (PCA) and not merely a companion to ride for free, and must have the same origin and destination as the scheduled passenger. You may bring one companion for the Dial-a-Ride fare.

Dial-A-Ride Fares (One Way):

Fares may vary by town, but in most cases:

  • Cash Fares………………………………………………………..$1.25
  • Personal Care Attendant………………………………………….Free
  • Companions……………………………………………………….$1.25
  • Trips beyond boundaries of your neighboring communities…$2.50
  • 10 ride pass………………………………………………………$10.00
