Miles for Health

What is Miles for Health?

Miles for Health is shared long distance medical transportation serving seniors and people with disabilities in the towns of Franklin, Foxboro, Norfolk, and Wrentham.

Who is eligible?

  • Persons 60 years of age or older.
  • Persons who are not 60 years of age but have a disability and are ADA eligible.

How to Make a Reservation

Call 800-698-7676.  Reservations are taken Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  48 hours advanced notice is required.  When making a reservation, explain you are calling the Miles of Health Program.  Please have the following information ready:

  • Where you are to be picked up.
  • The date, time and destination of your appointment.
  • A telephone number of the doctor’s office or medical facility you will be attending.

Schedule of Times

Boston Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Appointments must be made between the hours of 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

All Other Trips: All other long distance medical trips, such as Burlington, Framingham, Newton-Wellesley, and Worcester, will be scheduled for Wednesdays.  Appointments must be made between the hours of 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

Suggested Donations: $10

Envelopes are available from drivers for requested donations; however drivers are prohibited from accepting these donations.  Please mail donations to GATRA, 10 Oak Street, Taunton, MA 02780, or drop off at one of the following locations:

  • Franklin Senior Center
  • Foxboro Senior Center
  • Norfolk Senior Center
  • Wrentham Senior Center
