About the Advisory Board

The GATRA Advisory Board consists of: the Mayor of each city and the Town Manager, Town Administrator, or Chair of the Select Board, or their Designee from each town in GATRA’s service area; a representative from the disabled commuter population; and a representative of the rider community.

The role of the Advisory Board is vital to the success and mission of GATRA. The Advisory Board is expected to actively participate in their responsibility of financial oversight and policy making for the organization. Advisory Board members:

• Work to ensure that all actions of GATRA are in accordance with its bylaws and applicable governmental laws
• Oversee the finances of GATRA and protect the financial interests of the agency
• Understand the range of services that GATRA offers
• Are informed spokespeople for GATRA
• Actively educate community and stakeholder groups on GATRA’s goals, services, activities, etc.

All GATRA Advisory Board meeting quorum and votes are weighted by community.
