How To Ride to Taunton High School:

• Wait for the bus along the bus route.
• Look at “Which Bus Do I Take?” flyer to know which bus you need.
• Stay in your seat or where you are standing until you get off the bus.
• Be ready 3-5 minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive.
• Stand where the bus driver can clearly see you. GATRA operates on a flag stop system. You need to wave to the driver as the bus approaches. Driver will pull over where it is safe to do so.
• Check the header sign on the bus to ensure it is the bus you need.
• Enter the bus. Move towards the back of the bus and find a seat.
• No seats? Go to the back of the bus and stand.

Do’s & Dont’s:

• NO SMOKING OR VAPING ALLOWED
• Speak in a calm, quiet voice
• No fighting or arguing on the bus
• No yelling or screaming
• No loud music; please use headphones
• No eating or drinking on the bus
• Do not place backpacks in empty seats
• If standing, please hold onto a grab rail. Grab rails are there for safety and not to play on.
• DO NOT stand past the yellow line near the driver.

How to Ride Home:

• Wait at the bus shelter at THS
• Do not approach the bus until it comes to a stop
• Check the header sign for your Route number
• Enter the bus; single file
• Show the driver your pass (issued by THS)
• Move towards the back of the bus and find a seat
• No seats? Go to the back of the bus and stand.
• Stay in your seat or where you are standing until you get off the bus.
• Pay attention and look for your destination
• As you approach your destination, pull the yellow cord or hit the stop button to alert the driver

Miss the bus at Taunton High School?:

• To catch the Route 7, walk to Dean St (Rte44), cross the intersection and wait for the bus on Dean St at Longmeadow Rd.
• To catch the Route 8, walk down Williams St, take a right on County St and walk to Ingell St

Proper behavior is expected at all times! Violation of GATRA’s Code of Conduct could result in not being able to ride the GATRA Bus.
